Western Market at 447 West Nine Mile Road, Ferndale, Michigan.

Western Market offers some of the best meats, produce and bakery items in the area. It is well stocked with a wide variety of deli cheeses and meats. Hot items are available as well as a soup bar which features a varying menu of offerings, depending on the day. At least 7-8 selections per day, some meatless are at hand. Their chili and Jambalaya (Saturdays only) are my current favorites. One has to see the broad range of items to believe that so much is contained in this single spot, both outside and inside of these walls. Odd fruits? Organic products, Vegetarian products, Cracker assortments, Wines... EVERYTHING!
